Meet Jenine LaCoe – lisenced Mental Health Counselor
A Straightforward, Compassionate Approach to Therapy
I’m Jenine LaCoe, a licensed mental health counselor with over 25 years of experience in helping people find clarity, balance, and a renewed sense of purpose. My approach? Real talk, compassionate support, and a deep respect for every unique journey.
A Lifelong Commitment to Mental Health and Well-being
I’ve been drawn to this work for as long as I can remember. After earning my Master’s in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida, I spent years in nonprofit clinical settings and corporate roles, serving vulnerable populations and managing mental health programs. Today, in private practice, I’m grateful for the opportunity to bring meaningful change to clients’ lives every day.

My Approach to Therapy
Therapy That Meets You Where You Are
I’m not your average ‘just listen’ therapist. My style is direct, engaged, and solutions-oriented. Therapy with me is a collaborative journey where I offer practical tools, new perspectives, and a safe space to explore whatever’s on your mind. Whether you need a listening ear, a fresh viewpoint, or a solid plan for change, I’m here to make that happen.
In our sessions, you’ll find a shame-free, judgment-free environment. We may laugh, we may cry, and we may challenge old patterns together. But every step is about building a life that feels genuine, fulfilling, and uniquely yours.

What Makes My Practice Unique
Going Beyond Traditional Therapy
In addition to traditional therapies, I’m passionate about exploring holistic options and integrating them into mental health practices. My clients benefit from a flexible approach that considers every angle—from nutritional wellness to advanced therapeutic treatments like Ketamine-Assisted Therapy in collaboration with certified physicians.
Special Focus:
Harm Reduction and Substance Use
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Person-Centered Therapy, and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy
Emerging therapies, including Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy as it becomes legally accessible
